Museum of American History (D. C. Chronicles)

Time: Friday Morning, 10:00 a.m.

Location: Museum of American History

Status: Too crowded to be any fun.

We started out the day on Friday with one of my all time favorites of the Smithsonian museums...the American History. It's been under renovation for awhile and just recently reopened, so maybe the crowds shouldn't have been such a surprise. Much to my disappointment, it was just too packed to see much of anything. We saw the Betsy Ross flag and a few other things, but had to skip some of the highlights because the lines were two hours long.... not worth it on a Lindquist time-cost scale. I had anticipated oohhing and ahhing at the "First Ladies' Dresses" exhibit with Katie, but it just wasn't meant to be.

Lily had a nice time hanging out with the Graham Belles', though.

Oh, I would have been bummed if I thought I'd get to see those first lady dresses and had to pass...bummer.
